Does APRIL SWEETS offer nut-free, gluten-free or vegan cakes?

We are NOT a certified nut-free facility, and we don't offer gluten-free or vegan products at this time. It is important to note that we take precautionary measures to prevent cross-contamination, and typically, nuts are not used in our products unless specifically requested by the customer. If a request for nuts is made, we will schedule the production as the last one of the day to minimize the risk, although the chances of contamination are slim.

Many of our customers have successfully brought our products to schools without issues. From our experience, most schools only require an ingredient list showing that the actual product is free of nuts. If you have any concerns or specific dietary requirements, please communicate with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Your well-being is our priority.

How can I place an order?

You can explore our cakes online by choosing a product category. When you have made your selection, add the product to your shopping cart, or just click "Buy Now" if you are willing to order only one cake. You can review your shopping cart and proceed to checkout from the icon on the top right-hand corner of the page. To complete your purchase simply enter the delivery date, as well as shipping, billing and payment details. Please make sure to check our delivery zone and time frame before selecting one of the delivery options.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payment through all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal and Alipay. Our website features SSL encrypted connection to encrypt and protect your payment details, guaranteeing the total security of all transactions.

How can I confirm my order?

The order will be confirmed when we send the confirmation email to the email address you provided. The email(s) contain a 5-digit order number and summary of the order in relation to each product such as cake description, colour, sizes, and the total price of the order, including any shipping costs. You will receive a second email contains a digital receipt of your purchase. 

What is the delivery area?

APRIL SWEETS offers local delivery services in Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, King City, Newmarket, Stouffville, Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville. You can select a delivery region on the checkout page. For more details, please refer to our Shipping and Delivery page.

What time should I expect the cake to be delivered?

Our local delivery service is operated by third-party shipping companies. The delivery window is depending on the delivery option you choose on the checkout page, Tuesday to Sunday. (No deliveries on Mondays). We try our best to offer contactless delivery. For houses/townhouses, the cake will be dropped off at a visible place at your front door, and the driver will ring the bell at least once. We are not responsible for any damage or stolen caused by "nobody home" or "broken doorbell," etc. Delivery delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as heavy traffic, bad weather, personal emergencies, etc. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas Eve, the delivery window will be extended to 11:00 pm. We apologize if there are delays and will do our best to rectify the situation. For all condo/apartment residents, upon arrival, we will contact you via the phone number you provided on the checkout page. We will ONLY deliver to the lobby of the condo/apartment complex, so please be present at the lobby for pickup. The delivery will only be attempted once; If nobody answers the phone or has an incorrect address, we will skip the current delivery and move on to the next stop, and any re-deliveries may incur a fee.

How can I handle and store my cakes and cupcakes?

  • All cakes contain dairy products that need to be refrigerated (<4°C) and stored on a completely flat surface at all times until serving.

  • All cupcakes need to be stored in the freezer (-18°C) overnight if needed for the next-day serving.

  • To prevent any damage or cross-contamination, if you need to serve the cake the next day, please keep the package unopened.

  • If transportation of the cake is needed, the cake has to be stored in the trunk or floor of the vehicle. DO NOT put the cake on tilted seats or hold the cakes by hand. When making a turn, the vehicle turning speed should NOT exceed 15 km/h, and avoid any aggressive driving and hard brakes.

  • Multi-tier cakes need to be stored and handled extremely carefully. DO NOT lean the cake to one side at any point.

Can I reschedule my order(s)?

Once the order is placed, our system will automatically reserve a time slot for us to prepare your order(s) and send the delivery request(s) to the third-party shipping companies (for delivery orders). The system may need to refuse or decline other future orders in the same time slot as yours. If you would like to reschedule your order, please contact us by EMAIL (not over the phone) at least 72 hours before the original pickup/delivery time. We DO NOT accept any last-minute cancellations, payments are non-refundable.
