We offer local delivery in GTA
Effective March 1, 2024, we will no longer offer in-store pickups at any of our retail locations. This change was made in response to ongoing concerns about potential cake damage during customer handling—particularly in warmer months. To ensure every cake and dessert arrives in perfect condition, we now offer delivery-only service. This policy helps maintain the quality, freshness, and presentation of your order by minimizing handling risks. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to deliver our products safely and beautifully every time.
We now provide five local delivery options within the GTA, which you can select at checkout for your convenience.
🚚 FREE Standard Delivery 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. (Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, King City, Newmarket, Stouffville, Mississauga, and Oakville). Delivery time between 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. (EST). (No Deliveries on Mondays). If you need the cake in the morning or early afternoon, please schedule the delivery for the night before your event.
🛵 $10 GTA East Afternoon Delivery 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. (Only available for Partial Toronto and North York (East of Bathurst St. Only), Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, King City, Newmarket and Stouffville). Applicable when orders are less than $100. FREE Shipping for orders over $100. Delivery time between 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. (EST). (No Deliveries on Mondays).
🚀 $20 Express Morning Delivery 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. (Only available for Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill, Aurora, King City, Newmarket and Stouffville). Delivery time between 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. (EST). (No Deliveries on Mondays).
🚅 $25 Burlington and Hamilton Delivery (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays Only). Delivery time between 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. (EST). (No Deliveries on Mondays).
🚅 $25 Brampton, Berrie, Bradford W. Gwillimbury, E. Gwillimbury and Holland Landing Area. Delivery time between 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. (EST). (No Deliveries on Mondays).
Additional Infomation
To ensure you can enjoy our cakes at your convenience, we offer local delivery services directly to your doorstep through trusted third-party companies. Deliveries are scheduled from Tuesday to Sunday (No deliveries on Mondays), and the exact arrival timing may vary depending on your specific delivery area, as well as factors like traffic and weather conditions. Should you need your cake for an event in the morning or early afternoon, we kindly recommend scheduling the delivery for the evening before your event, or choosing the "Express Morning Delivery" if you are within the specified area. This will guarantee that your cake arrives on time, allowing you to savour the sweet delight without any concerns.
For houses and townhouses, our drivers will drop off the cake at a visible place in front of your door and ring the bell at least once. However, we are not responsible for any damages or theft that may occur due to circumstances such as "nobody home" or "broken doorbell."
Please note that delivery delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as heavy traffic, bad weather, personal emergencies, and other similar situations. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Christmas Eve, the delivery window may be extended to a longer period. We apologize for any delays and will make every effort to resolve the situation.
For condo and apartment residents, the delivery person will contact you via the phone number you provided during checkout upon arrival. We will ONLY deliver to the lobby of the complex, so please be present at the lobby for pickup. Our delivery will only be attempted once, and if we are unable to reach you or the address is incorrect, we will move on to the next stop. Any re-deliveries may incur a fee.
Responsibility After Delivery
We take great care to package and deliver your cake in excellent condition. However, once the cake has been delivered to the provided address, APRIL SWEETS is no longer responsible for any damage that may occur due to mishandling, improper storage, or transport.
Handling & Storage Instructions
To maintain the quality and appearance of your cake, please follow these guidelines:
*Cakes:
- Must be refrigerated at below 4°C
- Keep the cake box flat and unopened until serving
- For next-day use, store refrigerated and do not open the box until ready to serve
*Cupcakes:
- Store in the freezer at -18°C if serving the next day
- Allow 30 minutes to thaw before serving
Transporting Cakes:
- Place the cake on a flat surface in your vehicle, such as the floor or trunk
- Do not place on sloped seats or hold in your lap
- Drive cautiously; do not exceed 15 km/h when turning, and avoid hard stops or sudden movement
Multi-Tier Cakes:
- Must be handled with extreme care
- Keep upright at all times and avoid tilting or leaning
